Jesus is given to His mother

V/. Adorámus te, Christe, et benedícimus tibi.
R/. Quia per sanctam crucem tuam redemísti mundum.
V/. We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
R/. For by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
13TH STATION Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "You see this child: he is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is rejected - and a sword will pierce your own soul too - so that the secret thoughts of many may be laid bare."
[Luke 2:34, 35]

Spend a few moments in silent reflection:
- Mary accepted the sword that pierced her soul. Do I show her the thanks I owe her?
- How will I feel when my secret thoughts are laid bare before God when I die?
Amo te, o Jesu, mi Amor, magis quam meípsum,
et ex íntimo corde pænitet me quod tibi displícui.
Ne sinas me íterum a te separári.
Da mihi perpétuum amórem tui,
et dein fac de me quidquid tibi placúerit.
I love you Jesus, my Love, above all things;
I repent with my whole heart for having offended you.
Never permit me to separate myself from you again.
Grant that I may love you always,
then do with me what you will.
Fac me vere tecum flere
crucifíxo condolére
donec ego víxero
Let me mingle tears with thee,
mourning Him Who mourned for me,
all the days that I may live.
