Jesus falls for the third time

V/. Adorámus te, Christe, et benedícimus tibi.
R/. Quia per sanctam crucem tuam redemísti mundum. 		V/. We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
R/. For by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
9TH STATION Now I have fallen, they crowd around me, flocking to jeer at me; strangers I never even knew with loud cries tear me to pieces, riddling me with gibe after gibe, grinding their teeth at me.

Spend a few moments in silent reflection:
- When I read or hear in the media about someone's failings, do I jeer or gloat, and follow the story with unhealthy interest?
- Do I use sarcastic and hurtful words towards others?
Amo te, o Jesu, mi Amor, magis quam meípsum,
et ex íntimo corde pænitet me quod tibi displícui.
Ne sinas me íterum a te separári.
Da mihi perpétuum amórem tui,
et dein fac de me quidquid tibi placúerit.
 I love you Jesus, my Love, above all things;
I repent with my whole heart for having offended you.
Never permit me to separate myself from you again.
Grant that I may love you always,
then do with me what you will.
Eja Mater, fons amóris,
me sentíre vim dolóris
fac ut tecum lúgeam 		O, thou Mother, fount of love,
touch my spirit from above,
make my heart with thine accord.
